Siera and Justin's French Quarter Engagement Session

The French Quarter in New Orleans feels like its own little world within a city. Some of my favorite times to walk around and practice street photography is just before sunrise. The streets are virtually empty, there’s a reflective sheen coating the streets and sidewalks after the partying a debauchery is washed away from the night before and the way the sunlight makes its way through the neighborhood is pretty incredible.

Matt and Val's Autumn Backyard Wedding

Last year was so different in terms of wedding photography. Since I made the move to New Orleans in the beginning of 2020 I saw a dramatic change in the wedding industry worldwide and it was such a challenging year for wedding planning. There were so many uncertainties that couples had to endure. Covid outbreaks, vendors closing indefinitely, venues having occupant restrictions, dates being postponed and the list goes on. I suggested City Park and after a quick search online he thought that was the perfect place. A couple days before the big day, I took a walk around the park and scouted locations that would be perfect for them. This bridge has caught my eye a few times before and thought it would be perfect for his proposal. When I sent him a photo of the bridge he was really happy with the location choice. We spent the next couple days planning out the proposal and coordinating everything.

Sara + Tom's Bethlehem Engagement Shoot

For most of my wedding packages, I included a complimentary engagement shoot. It provides a great chance for me to meet with the couple and start getting to know them before their big day. It adds a bit of familiarity and makes the wedding day so much smoother. Sara and Tom are Bethlehem locals and really liked the idea of walking around Downtown Bethlehem and getting a few shots around our beautiful town. It was nearing the end of fall, so we had all the great fall aspects to choose from and the possibility of those wonderful autumn sunsets.
